– I learned that I don’t suck at caring for plants, (although I am still trying to revive a few from the damage I did to them in the past), they just require love, knowledge, and a sprinkle of effort (like 99% of life).
– I can legally wreak havoc on the roadways now, (I am aware that I am a full 4 years late).
– I finally started healing from a brain injury I wasn’t even aware of. (That answered a TON of questions, let me tell ya’).
– Set up more healthy routines: exercising, stretching, caring for my crazy hair (not today though lul), cleaning and organizing anything and everything I can find, washing my face way more times than it feels necessary to do, etc.
– Gave, got, lost, learned, loved, hoped, fought, waited.
– By the grace of God, ended up closer to Jesus than I was this time last year.
I don’t do New Year’s resolutions. I think they’re dumb because you could just start being different any second of any day, and you don’t need a whole new year for that, (sorry, blunt), BUT if I had to have one, it would be that my last point remains the same throughout the years that pass. The entire year can suck circumstantially from beginning to end, but if December 31st rolls around and I can honestly evaluate and repeat that last point, then it’s been a successful year.
I pray the same is true for all of you. I’m not some perfect person out here trying to act all spiritual, I just want to want Jesus in a world full of distraction.
Be blessed. There’s a whole year full of God’s goodness just waiting to be discovered. Get excited.
